Cats are terrified of the ukelele. TERRIFIED. I think once I show them I’m not going to turn into Zooey Deschanel just because I have a uke now they’ll calm down.

Noted for when I get my uke in UKETOBER.

For the record… my cats were completely unfazed when I picked up Rosalie and started strumming last night. Even the jumpy one, who was curled up next to me at the time. He just ignored it and kept right on purring.

In fact, the cats were less affected by it than Tom was, who cringed when I strummed it the first time to test whether it was still in tune. It was not.
