A virtual hoard of the shiny things I find on the internet.

Panic over, the ring has been found.

As soon as we got back to the room, while I was uselessly telling you all my tale of woe, Tom was googling information about what to do when you lose something at the beach. He ran across an LA Times story about Dutch Medford, this guy here who has recovered over a million dollars in lost jewelry from beaches on Kauai.

Dutch cheerfully came right out with his big ol’ underwater metal detector, and we showed him where I was when my ring slipped off. He was a little concerned about how choppy the water was, but gamely waded out to the spot and started searching.

You guys, he found it inside of 10 minutes. There was hugging.
