If you’ve been following my Tumblr for a while you may remember me telling you about the office baby boom making things awkward for me and my other married, childless, female colleagues of childbearing age.  

The office baby boom continues, as two more women in my broader department are pregnant and due in a couple of months, meaning they’ll be going on maternity leave just as the other two are returning from it. 

Yesterday at a team lunch:

Me: “When I get a migraine, it’s less about the headache and more about the other symptoms. Like, I’m ravenously hungry and yet nauseous simultaneously.”

Pregnant Coworker: raising eyebrow “That sounds more like pregancy, Tiff.”

Me: smirking “Then apparently I’ve been pregnant for 15 years.” addressing my stomach “GET OUT, you damn freeloader!”
