MPD confirms they are on the scene of a suspicious package inside a yellow newspaper machine at 1100 block Connecticut Avenue NW since approximately 9:24 a.m. Buildings may be evacuated.
That’s the same block as the Mayflower Hotel, where visiting foreign dignitaries often stay. The cross street is not K, by the way.
It’s also the block of the Randstad office I worked in briefly while the company was busily chasing me out of the company with pitchforks, as they had done to my coworkers shortly before.
