A virtual hoard of the shiny things I find on the internet.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
One of the things I’ve gotten to enjoy more since our big move is having some elbow room in the kitchen. It’s easier to cook when you’re not constantly juggling for counter space, and when you have enough pantry real estate to be able to store a reasonable quantity of ingredients. So this weekend, when I decided I really just wanted some chocolate cake, I had pretty much everything, which meant the cake actually happened, instead of getting lost down the “oh, I should get that stuff at the store, except I only go to the store after work, when I will give up and buy cookies” hole.
It also means that when it comes to my attention that the neighbor who graciously cleared the quarter-inch sheet of ice off our front steps this morning so I could get to work without killing myself happens to like brownies, I can bake them for him right away.
