The issue, then, will always stem from studios that long for competent managers who turn out amazing product, but too often end up with mercurial creators who follow their own whims down paths studios would prefer to avoid. To make the stuff, they need people who make the trains run on time, but to make it great, they need weird geniuses who might be hard to deal with.
