A virtual hoard of the shiny things I find on the internet.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I went to see this exhibit yesterday in the little bit of free time I had yesterday before we had to hop the train up to Davis to meet Tom’s folks. It was ridiculously cool, and I’m sorry I only had about an hour and a half to get through it because I missed everything on the third floor. I could have spent that amount of time just one the one 8”x30’ painting of a Dussehra procession, where every single one of the thousands of figures was different, and each woman’s sari pattern was painstakingly detailed, and there were all these little scenes-within-a-scene. I was so overwhelmed by it I can’t remember the name of the piece. It was breathtaking.
Anyway, if you find yourself in SF in the next couple of months, take the time to check it out. Leave yourself a couple of hours.
