A virtual hoard of the shiny things I find on the internet.

Elementary, from CBS TV Studios and studio-based Timberman/Beverly Prods., is described as a modern take on the cases of the pipe-smoking private eye created by Arthur Conan Doyle, with Sherlock now living in New York City. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! I realize Sherlock Holmes is kind of in the zeitgeist right now, but this is ridiculous.

Also, I’m not confident that US network TV is attracting the kind of writing talent that can take something so essentially British and set it convincingly in America without losing an important part of its charm.
