If you break it up into 4 8 mile legs, it will be much more doable….maybe you and Tom get an early start and they meet you at the mid point to continue on?
It’s basically 16 miles to Putah Creek Cafe for breakfast. We’ll have breakfast and drink lots of water, and then get on the bikes to head back. But I would not be at all surprised if we stopped to hydrate on the way to and from as well. I fully expect that Tom and I will start out first for a couple of reasons:
1. Adam and Jan are much more experienced cyclists and will probably catch up to us quickly.
2. My rented bike only has 7 gears, so I max out on speed rather before I expect to. Kit, my Bianchi at home, has 21 speeds, and even in the short ride we took today I was missing the extra gears. Which is funny, because Tom is enjoying having a proper bike with all the gears after months of riding Bikeshare at home.
