clutter

My in-laws have very generously rented a suitably-framed bicycle for me while we’re in Davis, because they were able to lend one to Tom from their stable of bikes-suitable-for-giants, but obvs I am way shorter than any of them. We rode to and from lunch today, including a little detour through the UC Davis campus (no pepper-spraying cops encountered), for about 5.5 miles. 

Over lunch, my in-laws (aided and abetted by my husband, mind you) talked me into attempting a 32 mile round trip this Friday. It’s 16 miles to a particular diner in a neighboring town, and 16 miles back. I’ve only ever done 13 total miles over the course of a day, but at least this area is quite flat. 

I told them I was game to try, but reserve the right to completely punk out on the way home.
