A virtual hoard of the shiny things I find on the internet.

‘Dick and Jane and Vampires’: A Literary Mashup for Kids - Speakeasy - WSJ
I sent this book to my mom for Halloween. Not because she has a thing for vampires (oh no, she does not), but because she has a collection of Dick, Jane, and Sally memorabilia.
My great-great aunt, Eleanor Campbell, was one of the illustrators for the DJS books. She used my mom and her siblings as models- my mother modeled for Sally. So every once in a while, we’ll run across an image that was definitely drawn by Aunt Eleanor, either because Dick looks JUST like my cousin Clint (whose father was a model for Dick), or because Jane looks just like my mother’s sister Eleanor, or because Mom will pause and say, “I think I remember posing for that picture.”
So I sent this to my mom. Perhaps one of Aunt Eleanor’s illustrations has had a vampire drawn into it.
