Bicycling is a lot harder when you have your bag...
Doubly so when you work on the Internet and your bag of daily crap includes a laptop. But I did about 14 miles today with that bag on my back and that means I am awesome.
Tomorrow will be nice enough that I could conceivably do it again, but I have dance class, and that’s just crazy talk.

Tie in the leg of your yoga pants facing the chain. Trust me on that one.
They’re short enough that they don’t actually reach the chain, but I have reflective ankle straps for exactly this purpose!

The only problem with this story is that it’s on the Daily Mail website, which I refuse to read on principal.
So yeah, I agree with you as a general rule, but the quote entertained me so much I went with it. Alas.
At that minute Martin walked in and I just had a thunderbolt. It dawned on me:...

So who’s going to start the “Martin Freeman’s Got Game” Tumblr?
Tumblr is magical when Kate and Guille drink.
But it’s even better at the bar.

Sorry for the Chuck spam, kids.
But since I’m still really bummed out by the end of my beloved diner, I’m taking a minute to focus on something else awesome that at least got to end on its own terms.

GOP Nostalgia is a Symptom of Privilege →
Author Melissa Harris-Perry recently appeared on “The Colbert Report” to speak about her new book, Sister Citizen, which examines a number of stereotypes of African-American women. As he often does, Colbert teed up a common conservative talking point about “going back to he good old days.” Perry’s response kept ringing in my head for days afterward.

I went to see this exhibit yesterday in the little bit of free time I had yesterday before we had to hop the train up to Davis to meet Tom’s folks. It was ridiculously cool, and I’m sorry I only had about an hour and a half to get through it because I missed everything on the third floor. I could have spent that amount of time just one the one 8”x30’ painting of a Dussehra...

When Profits Can Take a Back Seat to Doing Good -... →
An alternate form of incorporation designed to let company leadership pursue social good ahead of profits without fear of investor lawsuits.
I don’t know nearly enough about corporate law to know if this is a good solution, a solution in search of a problem, or what, but I thought the idea sounded interesting.

People have been pointing out that he cried…but I would say that he’s done similarly emotional things before when he was lying/hiding things/on drugs. He also admitted that he was wrong. I need to watch again.

If you ran a network, wouldn’t you be open to any character idea that has proven successful both in original and modified forms, and is in the public domain? I’m surprised there aren’t even more ersatz Sherlocks banging about in prime time.

This seems to be the most unnecessary tv show ever put into production. We’ve got the only modern take on Sherlock Holmes that we’re going to need.

- How did he do [REDACTED]?
- How will we survive the at least one full year* until Series 3?
- True or False: The delay between series is really so that it can always be set in cold weather, so that the third, uncredited lead character** can always be present?
*And possibly longer since 2013 is the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who and they’ll be busy making with the...
